Encouraging the Newbie

Blooming Echeverias’ throughout my gardens, a few pictured today.

The “newbie” planted yesterday in a location that once had a mature Opuntia “prickly pear” in residence until uprooted by a sudden storm, then replaced by a Mandevilla that wasn’t able to handle a week of mid-90’s heat.

I find that Echeveria succulents survive on very little water, which is why they do so well in my xeriscape gardens.
